WOW

The Women of Westhoughton also known as WOW invited Mayor and Mayoress, Councillors Neil and Linda Maher to their fundraising event on Thursday 7th November 2024.

Councillor Neil Maher said “I was pleased that Janice Bayliss invited us to the Women of Westhoughton's fund raising event at the John Holt Centre in aid of Guide Dogs Centre, Atherton.  We really enjoyed chatting to the members and also hearing about guide dog puppies and their care and development, and Ozzy, the real star of the evening, was an excellent well behaved example of a puppy guide dog.”

The group meets each Thursday and host a wide variety of social events and trips out. They have a growing member base and new members are always welcome.
