The Deputy Town Clerk started in April 2024, she has 20 plus years experience of working in administration roles and has experience of event management from volunteering with Girlguiding UK for many years and currently volunteers with the Royal British Legion as a Branch Secretary, Poppy Appeal Organiser and Secretary for the local RAF Association Branch.

Phil Brickell is the MP for Bolton West which includes Westhoughton. He holds regular surgeries by appointment. These are held at different locations and across the constituency each month.
