Blackrod Town Mayor, Cllr Derek Snowden hosted an event on Sunday 17th November, Cllr Neil Maher says “Sunday afternoon the Mayor and Mayoress of Blackrod warmly invited us to an ‘OOMPAH’ of an afternoon with music, singing and laughter in aid of his charities.

We were happy to support and what a fabulous afternoon! The Tyldesley Brass Band and their “guest” German conductor were brilliant!!

The event raised hundreds of pounds for local Blackrod charities.”
