Litter Pickin’ Good!
On Saturday 22nd March the Council held the 1st of a few litter picking sessions.
The group ready to make a cleaner environment!
Councillor Gillian Wroe writes…
‘On Saturday 22nd March a group of Westhoughton Town Councillors and members of the public, 21 in all, came together to clear 65 bags of litter from Snydle Way. This was part of the Great British Spring Clean.
We were fortunate to have find weather and a good turnout of amazing, hardworking and willing volunteers. Although there is still some litter down the banking, behind some brambles, the area looks much cleaner.
A big thank you to John, Barbara, Bill, Georgie, Shellie, Sandy, Gail, Chris, Lynn, John, Clive, Janice, Pat, Stuart, Brian, Martin, Elias, David, Linda, Alison and Gillian for giving up your time.
