Inner Wheel Annual Community Project

In November the Inner Wheel Club of Westhoughton were awarded a £500 grant from Westhoughton Town Council to help provide hampers at Christmas for lonely, elderly people in Westhoughton. The items will be bought, packaged and distributed by members of the club. This year the volunteers are hoping to provide 20 hampers to benefit residents in the local community.

A little bit about the group - The Inner Wheel club has over 100,000 members in more than 100 countries. First founded in Manchester in 1924. Westhoughton club is only small, 17 members at the moment but always eager for new members to join. We meet monthly. Our main aim is fundraising and friendship.......you cannot go far wrong with those two.
