Rotary Way

Mayor of Westhoughton, Cllr Neil Mayor, attended the Rotary Christmas Music event last week, to present the cheque for £500 for the Rotary Way signposts to be updated.

Cllr Maher said “It was a pleasure to attend the event and listen to some lovely festive singing from St Bart's. At the same time it provided the opportunity to again support local causes by presenting a cheque from the Council to John Moutrie for the Rotary Way scheme.“

The Rotary Way is a 50 mile circular walk which follows as closely as possible to the boundary of the Metropolitan Borough of Bolton. Inaugurated in 2005 as part of the centenary celebrations of the birth of Rotary International, the walk is divided into 8 stages of about 6 miles each.
