The Last Practice Walk

Councillor Neil Maher writes…

‘I have now completed my final walk prior to attempting to walk up Snowdon. On this occasion, like the last walk, I remained mainly on tracks across the hills north of Winter Hill. The walk was a little less demanding as planned because I seem to have picked up a little niggle in a knee joint. However, it was a good walk in the sun, and at one point I thought I was on a James Bond set being buzzed by a gyrocopter (Little Nellie)!
Next stop Snowdon!

We all wish you good luck, Neil! Don’t forget there is still time to sponsor him and contribute to the 3 local charities: Senior Solutions, Westhoughton Assist Service and The Darren Deady Foundation.
