Mayor Visits Senior Solutions

Mayor of Westhoughton, Councillor Neil Maher recently visited Senior Solutions to see the work they do in the community and this week was invited back to attend their Annual General Meeting.

Councillor Neil Maher said:

“I attended Senior Solutions AGM on the 17th of September. It was pleasing to see how well attended it was. Ron chaired the meeting, and along with the rest of the panel, presented a good summary of the excellent work and activities provided over the past year, thanks to the staff and many volunteers.

Peter, (pictured with me, seated), gave a very emotive story about how he struggled after the loss of his wife of many years, and since joining Senior Solutions the significant positive impact it has had on him. I thought it was a great example of the value that Senior Solutions provides to Westhoughton's more senior residents, and one no doubt many in the room could relate to.
