Mayor and Mayoress Maher with Rev’d Dr Malcolm Wearing from St James Church

Mayor of Westhoughton, Councillor Neil Maher, visited St James Carol Service on Sunday 22nd December, he writes “Thank you Rev'd Dr. Malcolm Wearing for inviting myself and the Mayoress to Sunday evening’s Carol Service. It was a pleasure to read the first lesson and we really enjoyed singing along with the large congregation in attendance. The atmosphere was lovely. We were reminded of our junior days carol singing in our local church. The mince pies and mulled wine were also very much appreciated on this cold evening.
